Dear Administrator Jackson,
I agree with the evidence that carbon dioxide and other global warming pollution endangers public health and welfare, which has been developed by decades of research by thousands of scientists. It is also clear that while coal plants are a major source of global warming pollution, emissions from new motor vehicles and new motor vehicle engines also cause or contribute to global warming pollution. I applaud EPA for using its authority under the Clean Air Act to take action to protect us from the pollution that causes global warming and urge you to move rapidly by finalizing these determinations and issuing strong new rules designed to control global warming pollution and provide a sound foundation for our economy.
Please also personalize your message – why you care about controlling global warming.
Big polluting companies, such as many of ours here in the Southeast, have spent tens of millions of dollars on lobbying efforts in Washington D.C., and they will fight hard to weaken any rules that result from the endangerment finding. We know they will fight hard to preserve the failed status quo and block any progress on fighting global warming and clean energy production. THAT’S WHY WE NEED YOU!
Now is the time to stand up and make our voices heard loud a clear. We need a clean energy economy to tackle global warming and create good, green jobs, and we need it now! Please write TODAY!
